Understanding Character and Behaviour

The objective of this course is to develop an understanding of character building in the light of the Islamic faith and to help students cultivate positive character traits that are reflective of Islamic values and principles. By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Understand the importance of character building in Islam and its significance in personal and communal growth.
  2. Identify the fundamental character traits emphasized in Islam, such as patience, humility, gratitude, honesty, sincerity, forgiveness, and kindness.
  3. Apply Islamic teachings and principles to daily life situations, in order to develop positive character traits and habits that align with Islamic values.
  4. Analyze the role of spirituality and moral conduct in shaping character, and develop a deeper understanding of the relationship between faith and ethics.
  5. Develop a sense of self-awareness, and assess personal strengths and areas for improvement in order to set goals for character development.
  6. Collaborate with peers and engage in group activities that promote positive character traits and reinforce the importance of community values in Islam.
  7. Reflect on the impact of one’s behavior on others and the environment, and learn how to take responsibility for one’s actions and make positive contributions to society.

Overall, this course aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to become individuals of integrity, compassion, and excellence, and to make a positive difference in their communities and the world at large, in accordance with the teachings of Islam.
