Procedure
- Warm-Up (3 minutes):
- Quick brainstorming of transport-related vocabulary (e.g., platform, delayed, arrival).
- Pre-Listening (2 minutes):
- Brief context: Explain that they’ll hear a train station announcement.
- Quick predictions: What kind of information will they hear?
- First Listening (5 minutes):
- Play the 2-minute audio clip.
- General question: Where is the train going, and from which platform?
- Quick pair discussion and feedback.
- Second Listening (5 minutes):
- Hand out detailed questions (e.g., time of departure, delays).
- Replay audio for specific answers.
- Class answer review.
- Post-Listening (3-5 minutes):
- Discuss: Have students share their experiences with transport announcements.
- Optional: Write a short train announcement and share with a partner.
